RESPONSE
RESPONSE Learning the piano, trumpet/trombone as a child, it was during his teenage years that Chris switched instruments to the drums and began playing in rock bands. Between 2003 and 2005, studying music at university provided the opportunity to take a short course in programming, inspiring him to choose a focus on composition for his final year of study. After a heavily IDM/electronica influenced initial writing period, a growing interest in live instrumentation and recording led to the creation of the first demos for Reflect in 2005.
And so Lull was (temporarily) born, with a remix opportunity for indie band I Was A Cub Scout leading to his first digital release in the same year. Subsequent remixes for Bloc Party, Gotye and most recently Sky Larkin have since provided solid format releases for Chris´ remix work. At end of 2007, with the realisation that the name Lull was already in use, Chris adopted the moniker Response.

Since then he has joined electronica band Stylus Dust, and become half of electro-pop act Hammond & Bell, both as co-writer and producer, whilst also linking up with Goldpanda to co-produce his Bloc Party remix, and provide the mastering for his debut download EP.
In between all this Response exists as an attempt to combine electronics and minimalism with an interpretation of classical and folk music, and an outlet for personal indulgence.

Response "Reflect" is coming soon on Imaginary Nonexistent Records.
